· Stock News: DIS-1% Earnings PLTR reporting after the close and can be in play today
· Equity: USA indices pulled back overnight below the daily expected move and rebounded in the European session but remain lower since Fri close. QQQ is leading to the downside with semis i.e. NVDA, AVGO weak ex-memory i.e. MU, SNDK that are higher. TSLA lower on report that SpaceX may merge with X.AI for the SpaceX IPO and TSLA sales in Europe continue to tank but it’s all ok since humanoid robots are coming at some point says Elon. Bitcoin is continuing to be liquidated with overnight low 75k and attempting a bounce to 80k. Related companies like royalty companies MSTR, BMNR are now trading below the value of their crypto holdings and miners and HOOD are all lower. Precious metals sold down with equity and are attempting bounce but volatility remains very elevated indicating that large moves in either direction are possible. The rare earth metals stocks are higher on news that USA govt will announce a $15B fund to create a stockpile of various metals. The speculative companies like CRML, USAR, MP all are bouncing premarket though one should take care since the hard part is the refining of the metals. China mfg data moved to contraction which is weighing on the Chinese indications. China also taking measures to reduce the volatility in commodity markets which can be contributing to the cooling. Oil lower as USA did not bomb Iran this weekend and natgas lower as shockingly the deep freeze in the USA wont last forever and there is an abundance of natgas. Defense stocks also pulling back as there wasn’t an Iran strike. Pundits (like me) thesis is that Trump needs low energy prices into midterms and middle east war is not helpful. SPX 6900, SPY 688ish are bull bear levels. Bounce from the lows overnight is a bit stretched so need to keep an open mind for the bounce to continue or reverse.

PLTR reports after the close Feb 2. PLTR has been declining and may see a bounce today as shorts close ahead of the report. Today 150 can be a possible long above level, Expected move for earnings is +/-15.5. Potential for a larger than expected move with 180 call wall and 140 put wall. Call skew is elevated indicating traders are leaning long and making call vertical reward/risk attractive but the high call interest becomes a negative should PLTR not outperform expectations. A diagonal/calendar structure can take advantage of elevated IV into the print
