Stock News CRM conference; AI Infra Summit (semis hyperscalers) Conferences
Comments Global indices continue to be weak with oil, yields and US$ higher. USA indices are bouncing from overnight low as crude is falling and yesterday’s bounce on Trump tweet indicate sensitivity to oil price and reaction to tweets rather than material changes. Monday AI/Semis were sold and software was bought along with some hyperscalers with massive moves in security stocks. Premarket the trade is reversing with AI/semis bouncing and Mon leaders pulling back. MAGS are led by NVDA with remainder lower and GOOGL leading to downside. Bitcoin pulling back ahead of Clarity act which betting odds is not expected to pass. Look for CRCL MSTR HOOD to move with Clarity act. CRM bounced Mon with software and lower premarket and on watch today with Dreamforce conference today. Yields and oil are the key factors and look for Trump and Bessent to continue to attempt to manipulate. SPX 7600 continues to be the major option pivot level with 7650-7550 potential range. Vix futures are declining premarket with oil which smells like short covering after the overnight pullback. Potentially a choppy rotation day ahead of FOMC meeting Wed with rotation and maybe some AI/semi short covering and punishment for software chasers.

Semis are holding prior support post the drop Monday on AI slowdown concerns. Premarket bouncing (small) with option positioning continuing to be skewed to calls. One can use 545 as a pivot level with large call positions potentially leading to a squeeze to 570. Downside targets 530, 515. NVDA is the poster child for AI and > 212.5 look for 215. Note the trend in SMH is lower so this is a counter trend idea which needs to be kept on a short leash. Should rates increase post FOMC or more AI slowdown tweets, semis can continue to weaken however Trump is betting the economy on AI so there is a quasi put perhaps.
