Comments USA indices are higher premarket led by QQQ after Fri sell-off of AI/Semi names. Oil is lower on the now familiar Qatar led peace discussions and Trump not attacking over the weekend. Midterms are Tues and there remains expectations for Trump to attack Iran post midterms which remains a risk to markets and oil. QQQ is holding the 200sma which is giving bulls hope but caveat is indices are in negative gamma which means that violent moves in either direction are possible. MAGS are led NVDA and TSLA with semis outperforming. AAPL, PLTR are big names reporting after the close and may move into the print. Korea is higher which is helping to lift DRAM and MU. Question remains whether the bounce has legs or just short covering. TLT lower indicates it’s now trading inverse to equity. SPX 7625 is the line in the sand to watch with 7700 upside target and 7600 critical support. Below 7600, potential for swift drops.  There are likely shorts from Fri that will be covering at the open and key is the market’s direction after 10ET

    AAPL

AAPL reports after the close with expected move +/- 17. AAPL has been the leading MAGS as a rotation fave due to a lack of massive spending.  AAPL PE 39 is historically high and the stock has outperformed so risk if the forecast underwhelms. High memory prices and China sales are risk factors.  One can consider diagonal trades to take advantage of the IV crush this week with caveat that midterms and nonfarm payrolls are significant events this week
